Mark Gunning was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and was called to the Bar in 2002. With almost three decades in law, Mark has developed a broad and diverse practice and is recognised for his expertise in equity, commercial, property, wills and estates, family provision, and building and construction matters.
Mark's current practice focuses primarily on real property, family provision, contract and general equity disputes. He also accepts briefs in building and construction litigation, commercial disputes, and other contractual matters. His extensive experience enables him to advise and represent clients in complex disputes involving property rights, equitable remedies, contractual obligations, succession issues, and estate litigation.
A regular advocate in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Mark has also appeared in courts throughout regional New South Wales and in Queensland and Western Australia. Mark has a particular interest in advising rural and regional clients on disputes relating to real property and intergenerational transfers. His work includes advising farming families, landowners, and businesses on succession planning, property rights, and disputes affecting rural landholdings. Over the past decade, he has provided advice on numerous matters involving easements for landlocked land in rural areas, developing significant expertise in the practical and legal issues arising from access rights and the use of rural property.
